Our 2012-2013 season kicked off with the second installment of The Lincoln Legacy Project, which aims to create a dialogue in our nation’s capital around the issues of tolerance, equality and acceptance. Our fall production, Fly, focused on the Tuskegee Airmen and their ground-breaking training and deployment during World War II.

 

By The Numbers
The 2011-2012 season proved to be another great year for Ford’s Theatre; we opened the new Center for Education and Leadership, and we have watched our programs and numbers grow.

 

Actor Spotlight: A Christmas Carol
Another grand tradition at Ford’s is the production of A Christmas Carol. We took a moment and spoke with actress Felicia Curry, who is in her fourth year playing the Ghost of Christmas Past.

 

 

A Tuskegee Airman Story
Like the African-American military pioneers featured in our recent production of Fly, Lieutenant Melvin M. Nelson was a Tuskegee Airman. He was also the father of Ford’s Theatre’s own Jennifer L. Nelson, Director of Special Programming.
